ORH_wxman
Looks pretty short lived. It is...we go into the freezer after that. Coldest air mass of the season by far looks to come in at some point that week.

weathafella
Where does the clipper track? Broad area of weak circulation tracks through NE. NNE gets light snow, SNE gets showers. Nothing to write home about either way.

It is pretty disorganized and progressive so I doubt anyone sees more than 1-3" even if it exits south of SNE. Pattern isn't there for Miller B amplification. ORH_wxman
Its close to a clipper/redeveloper, but much like 12z, just not quite there, but still def worth watching. Its not far from something better. But I certainly would keep expectations to a minimum at the moment on this one.

ORH_wxman
FAIL Eh, I wouldn't call it a fail yet...its actually really close to a 1-3" event...but that is all we are talking about anyway. The difference between a couple inches and crap...not like its the difference between a 6-10" event and mostly rain. If it doesn't work out, its not a huge loss, but I think it should be watched for a solid 24h more because of complex the setup is.

Either way, my Dec cancel thread is a win...but my money is on nothing, or next to it, for NYE...just some rain.
CoastalWx
Pretty crappy trend on guidance for NY. Euro is ugly. Virtually no snow in SNE with the 850 0 line in NH. Hopefully it comes south.
Damage In Tolland
Nice to still have the Euro ens and GEFS all giving us a coupe inches of snow on NYE. If 12z continues the theme I think we can start making some final calls

Damage In Tolland
GFS looks like 1-2"...mainly for interior I'd imagine looking at the setup, but its creeping a little further south so if it does that enough, it will keep the winds favorable for the CP a bit more. More good news

CoastalWx
Will said it's very close and it's ens mean is south The 850 0 line goes pretty far north. He said it was close, and it isn't far off, but it isn't 1-2". Hopefully it moves south.

CoastalWx
Ok caution please..don';t get too excited or optimistic I wouldn't get excited. Hopefully it trends south, but these runs verbatim stunk, that's all I mean. Will could get an inch or two on the EC ensembles and you would be rain to be honest. CoastalWx
It's time to do the unthinkable and put all eggs in GFS basket which gives us a couple inches Honestly, give it another 24 hrs. I don't like the looks of it outside of the far interior. 06z GFS was bad too.
