MJO812
The forecast was for a rain event with a little snow towards the end with highs in the 40s. About .5 inches of snow was forecasted. The storm started off rain in the morning. As the afternoon went on, the temperature dropped into the 30s and snow started to mix in with the rain. The mix of rain and snow turned to all snow towards evening and the winds started to really pick up. It looked like a blizzard was unfolding. Heavy snow and wind was occuring. In the end, my area picked up about 5 inches of snow. I couldn't believe what happened. It was the 1st white Christmas that I ever experienced.
