Geos
Nice another snow event for the lower lakes! Temperatures holding in the upper 20s tonight. Expecting some freezing drizzle and drizzle tomorrow. - probably some fog too.
daddylonglegs
This puts us through the last day of Jan... Other then the "cold" shot this week (it really won't be that cold...although a high of 10F is going to feel nasty)....NWS doesn't even show us going below 0F. If that does happen, that has got to be very rare here in La Crosse (no subzero readings in Jan).

gosaints
Starting too look like a roller coaster ride of temperatures is going to happen here in the Upper Mississippi Valley Region. Lots of melting days, but I have a sneaky feeling a large storm is going to pop with these temperature swings. Reminds me more of a Late February to Early Mid March pattern up here. snowstormcanuck
Last couple of GFS runs haven't looked so horrible beyond say about 276. Ensembles seem to agree to some extent. Of course, EURO/EURO ensembles apparently are a death march right into February.
turtlehurricane
Hearing dripping outside, temperature has risen to 36 °F. Snow pack is probably too solid for today's melt to do much. Surface low in NE Kansas, satellite shows clouds developing from frontogenesis in the warm sector. GFS begins light precip at 3 pm but I'll believe it when I see it.
