PWMan
Blech. Slushy coating here. Woke up to rain drops at 4:00 and knew we were cooked. Heard some jacka** on the radio on the way in saying, "For all those people crying about wanting a white Christmas, here you go. Now you can get on with your lives." Of course, much of the meager covering we have will be gone by Sunday -- possibly sooner if we get up to near 40 today as some forecasts suggest. Oh well. It looked festive for about half an hour this morning when the big aggregates were coming down and everything was turning white.

dendrite
Sun is shining. 33.7F Everything is melting/falling off of the trees. The ground snow depth has that convective look to it where there's a continuous mound-like shape to it. It feels like early April worrying about what the sun is going to do to my snow this afternoon...not a couple of days after the winter solstice. tamarack
Very light snow and about 32, accum is done and sky brightening a bit, not quite 2.5". Everything is now the right color, however, and I think we'll keep it around for a while, as forecast temps look to be +5 to -5 away from my current avg of 30/11. NNE may have snatched the snow from SNE, but looks like Nova Scotia is the jackpot.

Organizing Low
not in MTL but it looks like they picked up between 1 and 2 inches, still some SN- there. u can see the SN- winding down here http://www.earthcam.com/canada/montreal/?cam=montreal what a pleasant surprise here at my folks place in ottawa, about 1 inch surprise snow but enough to cover everything up and frigid temps started moving in as the snow was ending. majority of the snow fell at 32F but temp fell to 28F in the last hour of the snow and 5 hours later, now the temp continues to fall, down to 19F under sunshine currently and the windhcill is close to 0. couldnt be happier about the timing, especially as we have relatives from england (who are currently in toronto), who will be coming up for xmas in ottawa.....what a debacle that would have been after all they've heard through the years. Bryan
despite my disappointment it is pretty 2 or 2.5 here and snowing.
