Ginx snewx
It seems like a very broken line, as in there is not one continuous gust front. It seems like you had to be impacted by individual updrafts directly to get wind. So one town gets rocked while the next one over reports next to nothing. Yea the ASOS in Danielson about 5 miles to me NE only gusted to 26 while IJD gusted to 49.

Thompson CT gusted to 46 15 miles North of me, weird. I also only saw one flash of distant lightning with no rain, now it is raining moderately. dendrite
Thanks, hey any other ASOS sites between Danielson and PVD? Not that I'm aware of...at least none where the data is accessible online. Maybe there's an AWOS at a rinkydink airport that you can call into.

CoastalWx
I thought I heard thunder, but I think the best was just north of me. Ray, how frequent was the lightning?

CoastalWx
I heard it once or twice. My lightning data only goes back 6 hrs. Was it that frequent, or was it the classic inversion thunder that sometimes focuses thunder in certain areas?
Ginx snewx
Very impressive wind last night, one tree down in the woods just behind the lawn, about 10 inch diameter. Lots of limbs, yet another yard cleanup.
CoastalWx
Buddy from peabody said about a flash almost every 10--15 seconds. That's impressive for winter..lol.
