All I said was he has been no more wrong than anybody this year. Obama has never been passionate about this country, nor change just look around. Some will still vote for him no matter what. But enough of politics. I am glad every time you I post you want to correct me. I didn't know I had another father but it is good to know Not sure why you felt this post was directed at you as it wasn't, I was just making a general comment about JB and trying to add a little humor. Sorry if you felt that I was in some way trying to call you out personally. And by the way, I never said Obama was passionate about our country, only in what he believes. There's a difference. He said 3 weeks ago he liked the period after feb 6th but really liked it after the 10th so he hasn't been wrong yet. he also said last night he is not going to waffle back and forth because models changing every run. Look back 10 days ago models showed no signs of anything but warm now they have showed changed. The only mets that said a warm winter was coming was Don S and Roger Smith and Will. Yes they did a great job but nobody else has been close. I could careless if JB is right or wrong just saying everybody wants to bash him when he said back in the summer not looking good for southeast. But its funny when 3 eeks ago he said it would change and now we all see that there is hope. Let's be real and give credit where it's due, Mr. Bob, the met that posts here from Chattanooga with skiing in his avatar/sig, and eyewall said the southeast would be warmer than average very early on in the winter. I think I remember them saying the east in general would be warm but I can't say that with certainty. As for Don S. I never saw his long range forecast, but he has done well with the medium range forecasts I've seen. Heck even I saw the writing on the wall about a warm winter and called it back in September, Widremann there are plenty of people who saw this winter coming from a mile away. I just don't get it, JB was dead wrong about the east. So he was right about the southeast to date but I never have seen JB talk much about the Southeast at all and when he does it's not to say we are in store for a cold winter. Does this mean if we get a snow then he is wrong? It just seems like you want it both ways. A fab Feb for the SE would mean a busted forecast wouldn't it? So far he looks pretty good. 3 weeks ago 90% of the forum said winter is over as models show major warm up and he disagreed and said starting after Feb 6 the southeast will start getting colder with storms lurking. Now models have changed somewhat hmmm? I don't care who is right as long as we get snow. I post his thoughts because some ask. Some on here pay for his site but don't want to admit it. Funny thing is it would surprise some of you who they are. i love snow like anybody so I hope whoever predicts it gets it right. If he is wrong so be it. Anytime the winter turns out to be a mild one odds are they'll be right. Look @ their history over the past 15 years. About 99% of the time they went mild in the original winter outlook. They did, however, change them a couple of times midway thru season after the realization of a different outcome was imminent. Anyone remember the 02-03 debacle? went warm and finally changed it late January. However, in their defense, in light of all the mild winters in the 90's it would give pause to much thought of going cold, I suppose. All this aside, they have got better over the last few years as is evident in their more detailed outlooks(explanations, reasonings etc..). And what is DT going to do, last week he cancelled winter, saying the pattern isn't going to flip, the models flipped so he was forced to flip, although he held out for a few days and now he will have to cancel winter again. Although I'd strongly prefer some winter fun, I'm certainly content no matter what ma nature decides to bring. If it is nice, I can just go to the park or to the beach and eat ice cream. This is around lunch time....Just saw the rest of the ensemble.. monster trough in the east at 384... Boy is this going to be fun seeing whether the euro is scoring one of the great coups we have ever seen, or if the GFS is right.. Again..
