TheTrials
this isn't going to be good for the local area, euro is still in between here with its surface reflection over the gulf coast even with stronger energy behind the wave its blowing up

mattinpa
Big ugly rainstorm at 132 as the high retreats. Have to hope it's over-amped. Until there's some model agreement, it's hard to tell.
TheTrials
994 off the coast of LI 6Z on the 26 but the whole area is flooded with warm air with nothing to anchor in the HP Looks good for the berks and mountains of vt could be a little thump for SNE but even they get warm
bluewave
You can't go against the SE Ridge in a pattern like this.

Perfect slap in the face to top off an already atrocious winter-wx month. It's time to just forget it in this pattern and move on to whenever the regime up north changes. Anything that amplifies will likely keep doing so until it's a soaking torching rain. Anything that doesn't will slide off the coast as a barely defineable wave. TheTrials
We get the amplification we want but its clear now the euro only sees this as one big wave for the 25th. One day too early.

TheTrials
Storm takes too long to develop and allows the High pressure to slip east. We need the storm to be 12hours+ faster to have any shot, in the euro setup and even that would probably mean front end and then rain. Or delay it a full day and allow the trough to shift far enough east like I wanted it.
ag3
Or delay it a full day and allow the trough to shift far enough east like I wanted it. Yup. Only a prefectly timed shortwave would work in this horrid pattern.

mattinpa
Euro says this is the main show. See my last post. We've had low expectations all along. But what has to happen exactly to make this storm work out for us?
TheTrials
Oh well. It is what it is. I suggest we all do a few tebows and pray something changes for the better. Otherwise, enjoy the holiday time with your loved ones, or if you are a loaner like AG3, your stuffed animals, and just eat, drink and be thankful you experienced December 2009 through February 2011. jm1220
Brutal dueling PV pattern between Greenland and Alaska. Yuck. Just yuck. If models are right in bringing a new PV into Alaska, it's lights out.
