CMC has some snow

Maybe a flurry or two, at best on that map. Looks like an inverted trough of some kind might develop for New England, but no widespread snow swath or anything. Whenever you see a .01-.1" area, it usually just means passing sprinkles/flurries. You want to be in .1"+ to know you're actually in solid batches of precip.

It does look above freezing, but depending on how much above, maybe it's still some flakes. If it could deepen at the right time it could produce, but I feel it's still a long shot. Surprises do happen, though. Now if the pattern gets better around New Years, no more of these perfect timings.

you said no storm earlier....JB FTW-granted it's not cold enough...

and not to banter, but give me a break, he says 20 things a day, lol

as I said, fish on, still gotta land it, gut it and cook it.

Long way to go. and yes, still have surface warmth issue.

cold air will be the bigger issues than storm or no storm--watch tonight's disaster and how far north the snow line ends up....

big time improvement with the ridging out west

assuming the GFS is doing its usual thing of sheering out the sourthern vorts and over emphasising the northern stream, I would say we got a fish on boys!

If only we had a little blocking......so much potential. THe mean ridge position is right where you want. Too bad the Euro says the GFS is nuts

well, that thing has no where really to go with the progressive flow and the ridge shifting east so quickly

its ots or right on the bm.

both models are trading turns sucking right now, its a fast flow with tons of vorts, there are limitations.
