Geos
Did the 00z euro look good for snow for YYZ? Well the new 00z isn't out yet, but the 12z showed some snow on Christmas Day for Toronto. Heavier snow was south in NY and PA.
Ottawa Blizzard
18Z GFS is awesome for a White Christmas from Des Moines to Ottawa line. No kidding. Watch the 0z either suppress it or turn it into a rain storm.

toronto blizzard
I know its the long range NAM but the end of the run looks mighty interesting... If we were to extropolate the NAM beyond 84 hrs it would probably look like the 18z GFS. HR84 on NAM looks like HR84 on 18z GFS

michsnowfreak
GFS kicks it up a notch for southeast Michigan on christmas eve. Whether or not it happens, just goes to show once again...do NOT trust the long range models lol. The last two days the GFS for Dec 24-25 looked as barren of precip across the U.S. as Id ever seen it look, and I remember thinking, gee, of all days for NO ONE to be seeing snow, its on Christmas. With 4.8" so far on the month, Detroit is already out of the running to even make the top 30 least snowy Decembers, and a local retired met, Bill Deedler, forecast a mild Nov/Dec with a heavy backloaded winter this year...IF thats the case, I will consider it a huge win to have seen several scrappy snowfalls in such a horrendous December pattern, even though plows have not yet needed to run once (just salt trucks). In the unlikely event its crappy from start to finish this winter, then this will NOT be a win lol.

snowstormcanuck
GGEM is slower, and more consolidated with the W US trough. Seems to eject it as one piece on the 25-26th. Only have the cruddy black and white graphics, but it might be showing a somewhat more impressive storm than the GFS.
