earthlight Posted December 13, 2011 Share Posted December 13, 2011 Here's an article I wrote earlier today. http://nymetrowx.blogspot.com/2011/12/geminid-meteor-shower-peaks-tonight.html Meteor showers this year have been pretty mundane and boring -- the moon cycles have been bad. A full moon really blocks out the good meteors most of the time. However NASA says that the Geminds are coming in really bright this year, and that they were observed with good frequency despite the full moon tonight. So hopefully we can catch some good ones.
