I see that in Web Cams. The only place in central North America thats worth wild is in Eastern Quebec, Northern Maine, Lower Rockies and New Foundland. Even in some of those places its below normal. SpartyOn
Beautiful day outside! I might take advantage of the sun and mildness to tackle a roof repair. Its days like today that make me not give 2 ****s about winter. I love the sun! Spring like. Why the early jump on the Jan thread.?

kab2791
Quite a major change for the GFS for the Tues system. Follows the Euro by holding back the southern stream energy and keeps it further north. It takes on a slightly neg tilt and slightly phases with the northern stream leading to an area of light snowfall across the GL/OV.
Organizing Low
what a pleasant surprise here at my folks place in ottawa for xmas, about 1 inch surprise snow but juuuuuuust enough to cover everything up and frigid temps started moving in as the snow was ending. majority of the snow fell at 32F but temp fell to 28F in the last hour of the snow and 5 hours later, now the temp continues to fall, down to 19F under sunshine currently and the windhcill is close to 0. couldnt be happier about the timing, especially as we have relatives from england (who are currently in toronto), who will be coming up for xmas in ottawa.....what a debacle that would have been after all they've heard through the years.
