Shades
Thunderstorms in eastern PA. Squall line has been strengthening on its way eastward, at least in reflection of dbz values. Can't believe this is the radar for December 21.
mattinpa
Lets just hope February and March are cold and snowy I'm not giving up on January yet. It's a long month.
NYCSuburbs
And I thought this was December... and temperatures are still rising: It almost seems as if November never ended and went straight through December - some of the temperatures we've seen this month are even warmer than the November average. MJO812
this winter can go many ways...could be a 06-07 or 92-93,where the change happens in late January or 01-02,97-98,where the change never happens..only time will tell I'll take 2006-2007, even if we get sleetstorms. Isotherm
Unforecasted wind storm here in Monmouth County. I recorded a high gust of 38mph thus far with frequent gusts in the 30s the past several hours. Amazingly warm night - my temp shot up to 63.1 degrees this evening. Sad to say I've seen colder July readings at 9pm.

Shades
It has cleared out ahead of the squall line... very spring/dare I say summer-like... if it were daytime we'd have a nice view of approaching towering CB's and some CG lightning strikes in the distance... all a few nights before Christmas. Cyg
Man that squall line packed a punch! Felt like a mid-summer squall for a minute there.

Cfa
It's beautiful outside. I'm all the way in Suffolk County so I hope the storms don't die out or miss us (which is usually the case).

You can like mild weather but there is no way you consider this humid windy and wet crap is "beautiful."

Lmao, it's beautiful by mid/late December standards, this time last year it was disgustingly cold. If this was July it'd be a HUGE problem. Guest Pamela
Remember boys.. It's was 6 degrees Sunday Morning at KFOK... Weirdest weather ever.. Not really...because the 6 F @ FOK was in a weird little micro climate. Had it been 6 F at LaGuarda or Central Park (two locations where diurnal variation is as close to non existent as it gets, i.e. the temperature seldom goes up or down much there), then it would be far more impressive...because a 6 F @ LGA would indicate a truly severe arctic air mass...not the crappy sub-polar one that produced the single digit reading @ FOK. I may be trying too hard, but there was a bright side in that last weekends cold snap was the first to overperform, vs the trend of everything winding up a few degrees warmer than forecasted. I don't think anyone called for subfreezing highs area wide on Sunday, even as late as early Sunday morning. Prior to that, every little cool-down falling short of expectations (and not particulary cool) was giving me uncomfortable flashbacks of 97-98 and 01-02. So, enjoy the torch because its the only torch you've got...or something like that
