Hopefully, they'll have some snow. I just drove past the Beast. Saw a few folks there, but it was a sorry look for late December. Their site says 35% open (beginner trails essentially). Alas.

29.2/22

WaWa now at 50% open.

32.0F/26 after a high of 36.8F

Went to the movies in ORH. Holy crap are prices high there ($8.25 for a matinee?)

Nah its all rain, but thats ok, just two days of pure relaxation, sucks there is no snow for the kids on the ground but thats life.

Im sure the local ski areas will be ok, tough weekend for them with no new natural snow and temps to warm to blow any, but looks by monday pm they will be back in business.

Should be a great new years at the cabin, i hope yours is as well Mike.

Wow when the hell did it go to 8.25 for matinee? I wonder if the prices are jacked because its school vacation. Last time I went it was 6.50 for matinee. But admittedly that might have been 18-20 months ago...still seems like a steep hike though for that amount of time. Surprised you hit nearly 37...ORH airport's high was only 36.

I took my daughter to see Cars 2 a couple months back at the matinee. The difference between her price and mine was .25!! What a bargain.

I've had a couple minor measurements in December and a whole mess of traces (most recently today). But, so far Roctober has been the savior-in-advance of this winter. It has to change sooner or later.

Mild now, though. 31.7/22.

OT--curious to learn of what people may have experienced for costs to install a septic system and to drill a well. Rather than responding here and sending this thread down the crapper (pun intended), if you'd like to pm me, that would be great. TIA.

Bump my question

Back to torchland, although my temp is only 37 right now with a north wind.

How was NH? Was that work related or just R and R?

29.1/24 here at the Pit.

43/41 high of 52. warmed up quickly this morning with wind off the warm waters around my locale

beautiful day, played 18, local courses not very bullish on winter. one advertising they are open all winter long in the local paper. another (the one i played) actually cut their fairways this AM and dressed up their greens with something that looked like green sand (not sure if they were trying to overseed). they even aerated some damaged areas. getting an early start on spring?

Fitting end to the year with the rain today. I ran 13 miles this morning ..the last 6 were in drenching cold rain. Wettest year ever should only end with rain

Nothing drenching here. We've picked up .01", but enough to make it pretty slick at 30.5/29. I'm sure with the minimal solar energy making it through the clouds it will melt in no time.

Just think ...we were below freeizng for almost three days. One day didn't get above the low 20s. Then we warm up just enough to get FZRA to RN. Next week we will be bitter cold and dry for several days, only to warm up and rain again next weekend according to models. It really is an insult. Hah....

I want to go do a drive-by a couple of spots, but I'm going to need to wait utnil the thaw actually happens. Too trecherous at this point to be driving in the rural hills.

30.8/30

It is. That VT snow trails update page that was posted yesterday was really sobering.

I think the three days of sub-freezing may hold onto the zr a little longer than the 2m temps might suggest. Frankly, I'd rather the have just rn so I can drive without extra caution.

warming a bit--31.1/30
