34/31,-rn, fairly miserable working conditions this afternoon as rain moved a bit early with temps in the lower 30's. Yucky. Hoping the rain moves in and out and what snow we have survives. If not, looks like more there could be more in the offing. Pic from the Worthington line this afternoon.

Ugly here also... Steady rain and 33.4F. One good thing is that this thaw is too minor to unfreeze the ground. Flash freeze of any laying water, etc. around here early tomorrow and 20's the rest of the day with a few flurries/squalls.

Good storm coverage on our Upstate/southern Canada side tonight ..nice to watch them get snow vicariously to the west and north. GFL area has started with snow/sleet mix so that might bode well for PF getting some front end in Stowe.

Very similar conditions here, Rick. 33.8/33. It was much cooler than I had expected it would be today. in fact, at 4:30 right after the rain had started, I had gone to 32.4/30. I was thinking I might get a touch of something other than rn before the warmth. Not the case though. Either way, just a minor thaw of the ground.

How pathetic is it that it's after Christmas and we're concerning ourselves with whether the dirt's frozen or not? lol

Had a few mangled flakes at the onset at 2k. Quickly over to rain. Hoping to hold the snow and then get some upslope going. Mitch mentioned a good possibility of some action. Seems like a good set-up. Tomorrow will be nice with temps falling into the lower 20's by the end of the day and some 30-35mph gusts. Nice,

Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 7am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 7am and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 23 by 5pm. Breezy, with a west wind between 14 and 22 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 11. Wind chill values as low as -3. Breezy, with a west wind between 16 and 22 mph.

Thursday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 27. Wind chill values as low as -4. West wind between 10 and 14 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 21. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: A chance of snow showers before 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.

New Year's Day: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15.

More mega departures today as the temp is rocketing across sne as I type, unbelievable!!!

Yep... 50s across the region in the middle of the night, in December. I'd normally chalk it up to an anomalous setup, but this year it's par for the course. Waiting for the rubber band to snap... in April.

LOL its going to be a toaster tubby bath around here over the next few days, the Euro was so amped and total weeniekingdom, who knows it may verify but I would urge major major caution to the usual meltdown subjects lol. At least it should feel like winter next week.

sorry we dont' have any snow for you.... :(

The tubing hill at Gunstock is actually one of the best around.

I have designs on that tubing hill later this week....it's cheaper and longer than Cranmore's. Doesn't it need natural snow to be open?

Gunstock probably took a licking from this rain. They JUST opened a top to bottom run this week. Bleh
