moneypitmike
Agreed...for Snowman and me. If the min temp for the day is at midnight, the exact average temp and thus the departure has yet to be determined. We'll see, but you're probably right. The impressive streak continues, but at least we're heading in the right direction. It feels more like December than it has. And, I have 5/14 forecast periods have snow mentioned so that's a plus! 28/19 It's funny how the only optimism seems to be here in the banter thread. Total 'woe is me' attitude in the pattern thread. Tread lightly in there--very depressing. lol 22.4/
snowNH
Alright guys... I was just at my friends Birthday Party with Strippers lol... I'm probably gonna go to bed soon cause I drank a liter of Dr. McGuillicuddy by myself... I talk to you guys when I return on the 26th.... I'm not going to even check the board out when I leave tomorrow so this is my last post. Maybe my last post ever if my plane crashes into the contiguous 48. Again, hope you guys get snow when I'm gone, If not, I bet a KU storm happens on the 27-28th of December. I'm just feeling that time period. Tread lightly in there--very depressing. lol 22.4/8 I learned a long time ago to just roll with patterns. I remember some real duds from 1980 till the December 1992 storm (when we started a streak of pretty good winters) and if you hang in there, the pattern will change. I think we'll do pretty good in the end. I think for many we're already at normal snowfall for the season through December and we're also "due" for a more normal March so we have a lot in our favor. 27/18 (big difference in a short distance between you and I) but 24/14 at my 1250' site. Snow Bow
14.5 wind calmed and it really started dropping after that. Good snowmaking weather tonight. Made a snow gun and cranked out about an inch in a little more than an hour. Figure my daughter will like to play tomorrow in it and its not looking very good for any of the natural stuff. CT Rain
Looks like we finally had our true clunker of a December. We've been lucky recently... A lot of Decembers can suck.

Snow Bow
16.2 here. Creating some man-made radiational cooling? lol Could be time for a new thermometer, I just have some cheap Home Depot one. Its reading 14.8 now but I would imagine it would be cooler iyby than mine. In any event it's nice to see some snow on my yard again, going to try for an artificial white christmas. I doubt it...I think you would decouple before me. CON usually gets cooler than me on rad nights. It may run a little low though at night since I'm assuming it's not shielded. Anyways...15.2F here now. Nice night.
Logan11
Out of the blue that endangered precipitation form (snow) has appeared here and left almost a half inch of extreme fluff. Mysterious patch of -SN over this local area. That came in overnight, Rick? Nice score! Looks like we may have a kind of wintry feel (if not look) today. Just went out to get more wood. Surprised to discover a breeze. I can always tell it's been a good night of CAA when I can have a light breeze and manage to have the Pit as one of the cooler spots in SNE. 11.9/1. moneypitmike
13/9! In Storrs? Nice! I think I'm going to try and go 'furnace-free' today and see (for the first time) how a stove and two fireplaces manage the place. The downstairs will be toasty, but not sure how things will be up. 11.7/1. I had a pipe-dream of hitting single digits. Frankly, I'm happy to be where I am. Norfolk reminds me more of Colrain or somewhere up near you. New London is like Virginia haha well, off to work to supervise a bunch of new kids in this lovely cold with 130 snowguns blasting on me! I'm a mile south of Colrain, so you've picked the area pretty accurately. As far as New London goes, it's awesome for the summer. While Kevin is running around washing his car at 94* just so he can spill cold water on himself to cool down, folks in NL/GON/Stonington basking in the 72* sebreeze. Of course, while he's pinging, NL is suffering through a cold rain. lol 11.6/
