December pattern reload FTW.

Nobody can accuse me of being inconsistent...I said long ago the 15th to about the 20th would either be the change but more likely the "exhuasted" phase of the pattern before it reloaded. Now we have the reload locked and loaded.

Imagine if we hit 60 for a few days in January.

I'd rather. I've had some 30s for highs and even one day in the 20s...but what has it been good for? 3" of snow in the past 2 months.

Well, previously the EC would show the vortex at D9 D10 and you're right, it kept getting pushed back.

But now it's beginning to become re-established D5 and is clearly in place D6, and that's no longer fantasy land. That said, no one can say for sure yet if the vortex will be as persistent as it was in Nov.

My fault, I didn't realize it was being shown in the Euro's deadly range. Not a good sign.

i could probably dig back through our last 10 threads on "pattern change" and read the same thing every day. i feel like i read that from scooter every morning. LOL.

Yeah I know...I just want to keep Kevin somewhat positive. I don't want him doing anything drastic like telling his kids there's no Santa Claus.

lolol

It does?? As far as I can see the beginning of the month looks horrid.

Some years we get these pattern reversals overnight it seems. The look today is horrid. One can only hope a light appears at the end of the tunnel next week. More than likely this reload breaks down much more quickly than the past regime. No one knows , any who pretends to know what will happen for the rest of Jan /Feb/March is voodoing. We all like to foresee and predict but in reality LR is a crap shoot, AO rules the roost. Figure that out months in advance and you will be a rich mofo.

I have to say after reading this thread that you guys are at your funniest when your all sullen and downtrodden...lol. That's a bonus in these rough weather times.

As far as the LR goes. I'm riding the Roger Smith train. That kooky canuck from the west coast. He may have had his fails before but he seems to be spot on so far this winter. We'll see I guess if he can pull this one off for the rest of the season. Hope he's right about the big late finish.

Can't seem to find his post made in Oct sometime.
