dryslot
I'm hearing euro ensembles d11-15 are bad? I thinks thats what was mentioned, It won't be long and i would bet there are going to be some meltdowns from people on here if this continues.. dendrite
I'm hearing euro ensembles d11-15 are bad? Pretty much. AK vortex is back daily. A little ridging W of the US is really letting the PAC jet flood Canada with warmer air wile AK gobbles up the strongest - departures. At least we're heading into climatologically cooler times...we're probably going to need it.

Baroclinic Zone
Euro has 2 nice snow events for us next week though one turns to cold rain..so chances of a white x-mas going up dramatically. Once again..we should all be glad we don't live south of NYC this year So far, it's been awful for anyone S of the North Pole. No need to rib other regions. Typhoon Tip
Heh... You know, when I read articles like this: http://articles.cnn.com/2011-12-14/world/world_europe_russia-trapped-whales_1_beluga-whales-killer-whales-arctic-waters?_s=PM:EUROPE ...it becomes clear to me that for all the consternation and frustration from the collected winter-fan voice, it is all just IMBYism. There is plenty of winter abounding, and places being stung by anomalies that are on the cold side of climo. It's just not where you'd like it to be I suppose. moneypitmike
Looks like the GFS wants to throw a little wintry stuff at us on the 23rd. At least it allows me to wonder. Since no one else is posting about it, I may just be thinking like a weenie. 38.3/

Cold Miser
Not happening. If things don't improve substantially by month's end I'm leaving for AK. I've already been taking steps to make it so. This must be what Winter in the MA is like. Can you imagine if this was what most winters were like? How do they stomach living where it is warm and snowless? I'd just pull the truck into the garage, close the door, put some music in a minor key on and slowly slip away. ...... No need to incite other regions Pete. Euro has 2 nice snow events for us next week though one turns to cold rain..so chances of a white x-mas going up dramatically. Once again.. we should all be glad we don't live south of NYC this year ...... No need to rib other regions. I usually refrain from chiming in on this stuff, and try to stay neutral, but seriously, Bob? Has it really come down to this?
CT Rain
So far, it's been awful for anyone S of the North Pole. No need to rib other regions. Areas south of NYC had nothing in October and stand virtually no chance of seeing anything in this pattern. At least we have some opportunities. I think this is really stating fact not going after the MA.
