eduggs
what a waste of a superband from about just E of middletown NY NE through Newburgh to NW CT. Down 3 degrees in 25 minutes in the heart of that band. I hadn't dropped that much since 8am this morning. I'm at 130ft so I would guess higher elevations are dropping through the mid-30s in the Orange-Putnam area. Pouring rain here.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Just had a period of winds that had to be close to warning levels. I even saw a couple blue flashes. JFK gusted to 51 the last hour and it was every bit as strong or stronger here! Amazing thing is winds have already diminished.

IsentropicLift
looks like a bust on the snow for this region, but I could be wrong. Calling the quits, we have another flood to deal with here, the Ramapo and the Pompton are rising at close to a foot an hour.
