Grothar
All I can say is flooding will be a real big issue in the morning with localized road closures and traffic delays. To hell with the snow. The Little Lehigh was already out of its banks this evening and those red cells in VA and NC will add to the misery. I have never seen this much rain in two weeks time for our area from Thanksgiving until now. If we get a hard freeze, the soils will lock the moisture in place and set us up for some major flooding in the Spring. The groundwater table is enhancing the flow of our localized surface springs to the point that they will not even freeze at this rate. I ask for dry cold weather now. I guessed too early------Mt. Holly is worried as well Flood Warning FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOUNT HOLLY NJ 625 PM EST WED DEC 7 2011 NJC037-041-PAC011-025-077-089-095-080715- /O.NEW.KPHI.FA.W.0116.111207T2325Z-111208T0715Z/ /00000.0.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ SUSSEX NJ-WARREN NJ-BERKS PA-LEHIGH PA-NORTHAMPTON PA-CARBON PA- MONROE PA- 625 PM EST WED DEC 7 2011 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN...
