Thundersnow12
NAM/GFS both ended up being further south with the HRRR/RUC doing a better job. Current radar with snow all the way to the IL/WI border and into southern WI.
Geos
Some decent returns over ORD right now. Wonder if anything is making it to the ground. Yes it is! http://weather.noaa....rrent/KORD.html It's even snowing at KENW (Kenosha).

Current radar with snow all the way to the IL/WI border and into southern WI. I think almost everything whiffed on this. Well, I should take that back because I sorta stopped paying attention lately but I thought the general consensus was a more southward placement. Thundersnow12
Ya def some good snow rates just east of IOW, small area of 35dbz. Ratios are probably a tad better out that way too right now.
cyclone77
Have about 1/3" out there just by eyeballing it. Will take an actual measurement in the morning. It's amazing how uplifting it is to your outlook on the winter after finally seeing some accumulation. The lack of sticking snowfall was a bit more depressing than I thought lol. Stebo
The radar returns actually look fairly decent for the expectations I had with this system, maybe DTW eeks out an inch with this one.
Chicago Storm
think we got a shot, was just texting Caplan about that. if the forcing can help maintain the heavier activity out around the QC as it pushes eastward, it's possible...we'll see. michsnowfreak
Snowing nicely out. Small flakes, but pretty low visibility (0.75-1 mile). This is our 4th small snow event since Nov 30th (Nov 30th- 0.6", Dec 2nd- 0.1", Dec 5th- 2.4" (but 3.4" DTW), Dec 9th- ?). So really not bad at all considering this pattern. That's pretty good, congrats for getting on the board finally. It's a pretty minor system, but Euro FTW for showing a northward placement of the snow all along.
