Damage In Tolland
About 0.3" here at 675' in Stafford Springs. I was wondering what might have happened higher up and I guess that answers that question. Should be an interesting ride to work...I go up over 1000' and then down to practically sea level by the CT River. Winds doing pretty good here...temps down to 31 (29 at 1200'). Yeah everything is covered nicely. It even stuck to the rds and driveways in some spots. There were quite a few limbs on some of the rds I was running on this morning..Probably ones that were hanging by threads from the snowstorm. Temp is down to 29.
Damage In Tolland
Was it one of those deep low rolling sounds? Sometimes you hear that with an inversion if that strike was kind of far. Yes..but very very loud. and it rolled onf or a good 15 seconds at least..I mean it absolutely shook the house..window panes were shaking etc..lol..Luckily I got the girls back to sleep pretty quickly

Chrisrotary12
That is an impressive radar loop. Too bad it was all rain for most of us. As for the system exiting so quickly it is not really a surprise. I don't know why so many had their hopes up for receiving some back side snows. I may be young, but one thing I know is that the models really overdue our backside precip during nor'easters. The models showed us getting over .25" with the center of the system pulling into the Maine/Canadian border. Which is almost impossible to believe. If one can imagine the models without the backside precip that they were showing.....they actually did a fairly good job. If we can drop the qpf on the back side then the models handled the timing of cold air and precip exit fairly well in my opinion. Cold air arriving just a little too late for most of us. Ginx snewx
I think we have some gravity waves emanating out from the convection over eastern Mass. Yea the signal for that last night was very strong. Impressive night all around.

Should be an interesting ride to work...I go up over 1000' and then down to practically sea level by the CT River. As expected, it was an interesting ride. As Will mentioned, there wasn't anything below 600' here. I guess an extra 75' gave me 0.3" but there was nary a flake it appeared at the bottom of my hill at 500'. Chestnut Hill around 1000' had about an inch like Kevin had. None again down in the valley. I wish I had time to check out the higher parts of town considering the difference between 600 and 1000'....maybe 1.5"?

How did your parents make out?

Shows the amplification of the band as the dry slot wrapped in northward Keene must have been rocking some decent rates after 3am too.

It's not much but this winter it appears we're going to have to cherish any snow we get. All the slush had frozen solid on the driveway and my street as i left around 8:00 and got th kids on the bus. Amazing how it could be so warm and then have the blacktop and pavement completely freeze up and ice over..It was still 44.6 at midnite...so to get an inch of snow and have things ice over within 6-7 hours is pretty amazing
Damage In Tolland
There was about 1/2 an inch below 700 feet ..500 feet had a slushy coating on some of the grass...and below 500 feet there was nothing
NJwinter23
not a hint of accumulation here at school You guys coated on the grassy areas early this am when it switched to heavy snow for a few mins...Was watching that excellent live webcam on your campus
HoarfrostHubb
Wachusett had it's trails covered. Unfortunately the ground is not frozen, so they will lose most of that I would think. As I went east on Rte 2, the snow was pretty much done by the time I hit the Fitchburg line. No snow here in Leominster (although it was snowing in my parking lot around 7AM)

nzucker
Only had about .75" accumulation here at 1200' in Rindge, NH...the WWA was a total bust as the event was 90% rain with limited precipitation on the back end. Very much a disappointment considering all this talk about "snow bomb" and fast changeovers. We took a long time to get below 42F, wasn't really until after midnight that the temperature dipped. weatherMA
I went for a brief spin....absolutely nothing below 600 feet. 600 feet was the cutoff. We got 0.9" here on winter hill at over 900 feet but I bet ORH comes in with a trace...or 0.2" because it was sideways snow. And they never measure anything in those type of events. 600 feet was the cutoff when I stopped seeing car tops coated. I was at school today and I noticed a skim coating on some of the mulch...the school is at like 580' or 600' I believe...didn't see anything until I got to the top of the hill, so I can confirm that 600' was indeed the line of accumulation vs. just flakes.
