ORH_wxman
HRRR is still a bit slower on timing than the NAM more like 3-4am here when it flips.
ORH_wxman
It will be interesting to see what happens. I could see something where Dave gets into a period of heavy snow and 20-30 miles to the se..it may be a little too removed from the good stuff until last minute. At least something like that...just giving a hypothetical situation. Still think it may be tough for you and esp Kevin, but who knows. Hopefully you squeeze an inch....or better. I'm on winter hill for this one. Need all the latitude and elevation I can get.
CapturedNature
HRRR is still a bit slower on timing than the NAM more like 3-4am here when it flips. I'll take that...even looks like a small sliver of 2-3" down to Kevin.

I guess I'll be the cheerleader on the side for this one too. In all seriousness...hope it goes well for you and others. Just hoping to see some flakes here or even better...period of brief snow. moneypitmike
warren county nj ginxy absolutely pouring here now ?? snowing in warren? That's not a suprise given their longitude, no? It appears that temps have just taken a notable step down between ALY and Mass and up to SW VT.
weatherMA
Alarm set for 3am so I can see my one hour period of snow that doesn't accumulate. Then back to sleep. new HRRR is about the same...1-2" or so...2-3" NW of ORH.
Clinch Leatherwood
http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=ENX&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes Line is really ripping now, collapsing fast ESE. Change line should be over MRG's head no later than 11-12.
Logan11
I can tell looking at radar trends that this is a bust out here. It's slipping more east of forecast and my earlier prediction of 'whats his name' getting the most was right after all. An inch here now in light to mod. snow and 32. I'm on winter hill for this one. Tropopause_Fold
this is definitely one of the tightest races we've seen in a while. this image is valid 09z. note the 950 freezing line is into BOS area...but the good low and mid-level lift is already leaving ORH area. it's a short window of opportunity...but moving up that changeover by even an hour is going to make a big difference as there's some intense lift moving through those yellow arrows i added just to outline the omega values

HoarfrostHubb
Can we build a giant 20 mile high wall over Scooters house to trap that qpf? Some blocking would have been nice...just a little, wafer thin block

Logan11
It certainly looks like the NAM and EURO are about to bust on their placement of enhanced band... Maybe a 50 mile bust isn't a big deal, but it is when you are ALB and have a WSW for 6"-10" and 2" or 3" falls.... . moneypitmike
Off to get some shuteye...maybe I will get up around 3AM to take a peek Right behind ya--hopefully to be awakened by the plow. But, I don't think Mark (the town plow driver) does much outside of Shelburne Falls proper until the storm ends. 39.6/
Logan11
Well from a forecast of 1" of qpf here from 0Z to 12Z ...probably won't be more than .3 or .4 in that time frame..... everything setting up a bit southeast of forecast..unless an enhanced band can set up real fast even as it is all shifting steadily southeast. It will happen, but too late for here I'd say. What do you mean? What's busting Rick?
