Damage In Tolland
temps are having a hard time dropping around here, and even west of here in NW CT where I live full time. 1-2" there max, flakes in the air here maybe. Temps were never supposedto drop much today. It was supposed to fall from the 50's into the 40's which it's done

Edit: Even Norfolk, the aptly named "icebox of CT" is at 45.

powderfreak
18z NAM is identical to the 12z UKMET and GFS as far as I can see... i think it came a bit west from 12z actually but its all just semantics at this point. It definitely has higher QPF up here than 12z though that's for sure.
powderfreak
At 6z tonight its still raining in the Berkshires... the catskills of NY get absolutely destroyed though. Looks a lot like the RUC runs of late. Or even more amped up... we even lose some QPF to rain up here in this.
ineedsnow
started off better then 12z but turned out to be crap oh well just seeing snow is better then nothing cold air does seem to come in alot quicker now though i guess it will be a race to see if the cold air makes it before the precip shuts off

That thing is into SW RI. Albany could get a warning criteria event and the NWS doesn't even have an advisory for them if this verifies. Cats, Pocs, and southern Greens get destroyed. weatherMA
Looks like it snows from about 340 to 415am (very brief window around 8-9z) on the nam here lol. Basically...nothing...as unless I set my alarm for the exact time if flips the 1" might be gone when I get up...

Surely there is some positive spin you can put on this pig of a run. (I'm joking).... NAM would imply most of you see a flip to snow that comes down pretty hard and then ends after a little paste. It's a downturn from the 12z run for many in central and ern areas I think.

weatherMA
The funny thing is everyones 1hr or less of snow is going to happen at 3am...the time almost everyone has gone to sleep and no one has woken up yet...but beggars can't be choosers. At least some average temps are on the way even if there will be no snow with it.

Brian5671
This is good news for the ski areas-some will surely struggle with sales (esp CT and MA) if we get a warm winter...ain't paying $50 to ski on ball bearings...LOL
