Wow. I wasn't expecting anything, so 2" would be a nice surprise

(Steve is less than 10 miles from me as the crow flies towards the east so I take the Moosup call as being my area too)

I got elevation on ya little brother LOL although I wish I was 1 mile further East at the Foster Border at 625 feet.

Gotta be careful not to get too caught up in this since we have such a garbage airmass starting out, but it's pretty dam dynamic as progged. Hopefully it doesn't come more to the nw...which is still possible.

Yeah if this goes another 50-70 miles NW, then we are pretty much screwed and only end as weenie flakes...but a little tick SE while keeping that vortmax in tact would really makes things interesting.

I might have to set my alarm to watch this...

Will, do you think the winds will be cranking even this far inland, or is Phil getting all those goods?

I'll be lucky to get 3-4 hours of sleep tomorrow night if that CCB still looks like it has much potential as it does right now.

Tip?

I literally laughed out loud at this.

If I get 4 inches or more. I will buy everyone that goes a beer on Saturday. Lock it

I'll take a coke.

The kids at school are so depressed by this wx... I mentioned a chance today and they got wound up...lol the other teachers hate me

(I told them only to expect an inch or 2)

The reason the bust potential is so high because when the flip to snow happens, its likely to be like 2" per hour intensity...at least as it modeled right now. We know how these things can bust in either direction and there are always caveats with the CCB "backend" snows.

and for the rest of us..........

hpn 2"

bdr 1.2"

bdl 3.1"

orh 4.4"

bos 2.7"

Pete 7.4"

MPM 6.4"

Mt Tolland 3.1"

Taunton 1.8"

Mooooosup 2.3"

Hunchback Dave 5.0"

kgay3.6"

messycweat .8"

Philthethrill .4"

weenieologist 5.1"

From your lips to God's ear. If that were to verify I'd be at 40+" for the season to date. Not bad.

I like this little super charger. I think good things are going to happen once the fuse is lit.

okemo is running on 4 trails limited to the upper mountain FOR EXPERTS only........I mean real ski season, powder, glades, bushwhacking, pine thumping, true skiing, how dare you?

There is nothing at Okemo that qualifies as expert only. My first day of the season was Oct.30 (actually skied at night on the 29th) in 32-37" of pow pow.

Powder : check

Bushwhacking : check

Pine thumping : I generally try to avoid thumping into pines

true skiing : Check

Socked in here now with persistent showers and down to 39.....

OT, but man it is/was foggy here earlier this evening. Had to drive at a snail's pace until I descended 200'. It was cleared out there, but man, as thick a fog as I've ever been in. My 6-year old said it looked like a dust-storm. And she would know how?????

I figure 18Z was the maximum nw it can go.... Once it gets up to about the NY Bight ...climo almost guarantees a track to like the Cape or at most maybe like Plymouth. I mean this isn't negative enough to do anything crazy and try to climb Mount Tolland.

Yeah if this goes another 50-70 miles NW, then we are pretty much screwed and only end as weenie flakes...but a little tick SE while keeping that vortmax in tact would really makes things interesting.
