yeah i know it's not impossible to get a fold. i feel like we see hints of them fairly often - couple times a fall/winter maybe we might pay attention to the *possibility*

i just know for me, in my 33 years of life - of which i feel about 27 i have a pretty good memory - that 30 minutes of weather on 12/9/05 was the most impressive thing i have ever seen. hands down. it's like the cosmos aligned perfectly and rewarded me for being a weather nut for my entire life.

i know there will be other good events in the future - but i never expect to see that un"fold" again. see what i did there?

Ha ha, and to state the obvious - I shouldn't even be commenting on that because I was in Acton Mass, where there was very little wind. Just 20 feet visibility in S++++++++++++++ thunder snow. LOL

Meanwhile, Cape Cod was getting scoured off the face of the planet by that thermal wind. What was the monitary damage on that?

I didn't realize they had a Facebook page.

54.2/54

They just made it a few weeks ago I think.

Anyway, this run verbatim looks like maybe 2 hours of 33F SN+ from 4-6/7am imby. I'll take it. It's similar to the nam in that the 0c line takes forever to go from ALB to PSF but then really accelerates east from there. I could see BOX throwing out an advisory for this even if its only because of timing. Although it looks like it may clear out just in time, looks to be about done everywhere by 8am...

Alright, here's a first call map

Nice Sam. A perfectly acceptable little early December snowfall. 4-8" or 6-10" sounds fine, anything in the midst of this sea of pessimism about our Winter.I have a piece of heavy equipment we just bought being delivered to 2k tomorrow, glad it wasn't scheduled for Thursday morning.

Not as generous as Sam's, map, but it's better than the bare ground that's out there now.

Ok Buttercup.lol Man everybody is so fookin' on edge with this weather. My favorite thing right now are the growing number of "we aren't going to have a Winter" posts. On a side note, my little daughter just asked me what happens if there is no snow at Christmas. I was going to say "no toys from Santa" but I just couldn't be that mean. I went with elven magic.
