WVclimo
Whats it doing out there in your area Craig? 42* and rain here Dave, when precip picks up in intensity there's a good mix of snow and sleet. When it slackens its mostly rain, but not the big drops of an hour ago. Congrats on the December thunder..
TalcottWx
Winchester went from 43 to 37 in the last hour. There's 45-50dbz return in between HGR and MRB. There's has to be some flash flooding going on out there. Probably some bright banding, but nonetheless heavy rates.

An increase of 142 customers in 2 hours isn't that big of an increase. Probably just a few issues with underground lines getting wet or soggy ground with poles having issues. In Irene outages jumped about 150,000 in like 3-4 hours. 142 in 2 is no biggie.

Up to 217 now 5 minutes later. I get the feeling it is going to jump alot very shortly as the winds pick up more and the trees start falling from the very wet ground. We may end up with a little accum out here after all. I'm not sure I share your confidence. As soon as the heavier stuff moved on, my temp went up 0.3 degrees, and now back to mostly rain. I think time is very limited.
