Wx 24/7
0z GFS playing catch up too coming in wetter across the region. Not sure how much of this increase will be all snow. I am watching the freezing line on the Oklahoma Mesonet. It is crawling but making progress.

Wx 24/7
Getting some light sleet here with 34º. You can tell by the radar that the beginning is here... should be a fun next twenty four hours. Really think this will overperform for SW MO. Wish we could share the wealth with our OK and AR friends... although N AR may get in on the action... depends on the temps. JoMo
Doug increased amounts: Springfield upped amounts here from 2-5" in the grids.
NwWhiteOut
Just a cold rain here so far, 38 degrees still. Winter weather advisory started at 9pm here goes until 9am. 1-3 inches of snow expected with higher ammounts. We will see!
Wx 24/7
Good call by Doug. RAP runs aren't deviating from their major precip wallop across SW MO through the morning hours.

NwWhiteOut
Sounds like they are dropping totals way down here by the special forecast thing from the NWS that I just read. Sounds like the rain will continue and change over to light snow right at the end in the morning lol. Went from 2-4" to 1-3, now an inch or less. I guess this is to be expected when moving so far south from where I was, lots to adjust to! Good luck to those of you up in missouri
ouamber
Yea here in Tulsa we are just getting freezing rain and sleet!!! That is not what the weathermen said was supposed to happen here. Cars are coated with thick ice and the roads are ice covered... No bueno in the morning. We were supposed to be all snow.. Never once did they mention ice! That's a terrible missed forecast for Tulsa!
Wx 24/7
Solid snow/sleet mixture here... nice large flakes, but the sleet is really pretty heavy. Hopefully we can change over to all snow soon. I don't want to waste my moisture on sleet.
JoMo
Winter storm warning now issued for NE OK counties along the KS border with 4-5" accumulations.

I know that the criteria is different, but I will be interested to see if SGF pulls the trigger on a Winter Storm Warning further west.
NwWhiteOut
Winter weather advisory now extended until noon...also a wind chill advisory has been issued. Hey Jomo if your up where is the freezing line located? Man Im sorry, I think you gave me a link before that showed....my memory is horrible NVM, looks like the mix line is in gentry arkansas just west northwest of here lol. Man that radar looks nice up in missouri but what Im seeing it looks like the majority of this will just miss me here.
JoMo
You're down to 34 in Fayetteville.
Wx 24/7
2.5" in Pawhuska and still snowing...TSA missed this one in an uncharacteristic fashion.
NwWhiteOut
You're down to 34 in Fayetteville. Yea thats fairly close, my one reliable outdoor thermometer now says 35. I couldnt see it from where Im sitting so had to go take a look. The weather station on the wall in this room still says 37.6. I can see that line ever so edging over and down this way so slow though
ouamber
So I'm still confused...did the storm take a more northern track?? Any guess when the pivot is going to occur and where?
Wx 24/7
So I'm still confused...did the storm take a more northern track?? Any guess when the pivot is going to occur and where? Stronger and intensified quicker... really pretty potent for our area.

NwWhiteOut
Down to 33.4 here now. Such a waste again though so far, just like the last storm it was 33 and a cold cold rain. NWS still thinks the snow line will gradually sink southward overnight.
Wx 24/7
1.25" of snow as of 4:30 a.m. here in Monett in my snowbox.
JoMo
Coming down in a heavy blizzardlike fashion under the backside.... small flake size though. Going to need this to either slow down or start to pivot otherwise we may only end up with 2-3" here.
wildweatherman179
Decent convective bands rolling through eastern OK and NWA at this time. May only pick up an inch though before its over.
Wx 24/7
Up to 2" in Monett as of 6 a.m. I agree with your assessments JoMo and wildweatherman. This system is truckin'!
JoMo
Looks like probably 3-4" here... still some bands rolling through though.
