RIC Airport
Only a trace officially at the airport per preliminary CLIRIC.
Kevin Druff
Only a trace officially at the airport per preliminary CLIRIC. I didn't measure, but if I guessed, I'd say 0.2" roughly in about 20 to 30 minutes. It was easily the most exciting .2" I've ever received. I was in my kitchen cooking and thought someone had taken a picture (my sister and her kids were here). About 3 seconds later my wife exclaims "it's snowing" and then the thunder crashed into the house. Within 90 seconds it was snowing almost as hard as I've seen it snow here. Reminded me a little of the 1/30/10 storm when it was 20* and snowing like crazy.
RIC Airport
What is it with Richmond and its snow reporting? It's extremely frustrating how the people there always seem to screw up. I give props to the observers at Norfolk for prompt, accurate reports over the years.

To be honest, the snow we did get was melting at the rate it was accumilitating after the intialy heavy rates dropped. We got just enough to make the leaves turn white.. (not even my deck was able to get white..) then it just melted at equivalent rate of the snow that stuck. Once it had completely stopped it was gone with in 1.5 hours.
