MJO812
DT Wxrisk.com *** ALERT *** (weather Geek Talk but its important ) 12z EURO ensemble mean 12z CAN ensemble in the 11-15 day shows MAJOR stratospheric warming event will develop... this sort of thing OFTEN (not always) leads to major pattern changes over the entire north hemisphere... Often (but not always) leading the positive phase of AO to Negative phase of AO

IsentropicLift
I was eleven for 96 so I would say my perception of the event was fair. As far as totals go, my rank would be #1 96, #2 PDII and #3 Boxing Day As far as intensity/winds go, Boxing Day wins hands down, but with my location in eastern Morris County, the best banding setup just to my east and I finished with a total of 22" as opposed to 96 with 33" and PD II with 25". All three were great storms, but my personal favorite was 96" because of the higher totals IMBY and the long duration. I remember wondering if it was ever going to stop snowing. When you take a look back at the radar loops of 96" and PDII its pretty amazing how long they actually were.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
you play? We should organize a game then for the winter, since it will be in the 50's all winter... yea...it was thee game for me growing up. i was an all american out of high school, got a full ride to seton hall. which was the biggest mistake in my career as the coach, Manny, was a german dictator that i just never got along with. i had offers to other schools too and in hindsight...i should of went anywhere else. after 4 up and down years at SHU, i lost my passion for the game. just wasnt hungry for it anymore. i wish i can re-do my years after high school.
