Ginx snewx
well, the winds went to town early this morning...total carnage to my christmas light display...my nativity stable is in pieces...looks like it was hit by a tonado...and the star of bethlehem was blown out of the tree and is stuck like a pitchfork in the ground, light bulb on the inside shattered...and the nativity characters are toppled over, sans joseph and a sheep... Yikes that sucks.
ski MRG
28/27, wind is slackening. 1.75" here at the house with a general 4-5" snowfall on west facing aspects and the high terrain. It's nice to have it white and Christmas like. Mulled cider and x-mas music this evening FTW. Some cell phone pics from the area today.

Mr Torchey
Just walked into town, went to Colony Grill had some pies and a pitcher of beer, felt great on the walk, winter is here. Looks like some snowy very cold weather as we head into the third week of December. Oh yeah
Logan11
Quite brisk out here in Hamilton, Ontario, but no snow at all on the ground. They are saying 2 to 4 cm from the trough that moves through, but wrong side of the lake here for lake effect. Tomorrow I have to drive across the Niagara Frontier on the way home and that could get interesting with LES. nzucker
Looks like tonight will be another above average departure....stuck at 30/26 and already over to a south wind ahead of that next piece of energy. NWS has changed the forecast minimum from 18F to 27F, and to think I was actually hoping for a normal New England winter night...

Logan11
I was watching TWN here....and I see that yesterday's storm really lashed the Maritimes. Lots of wind damage in Newfoundland and power outages ..on the warm side of the storm I assume. CoastalWx
It's like walking on eggshells in this place. People are likely reporting to bust balls and get the other guy in trouble.

Typhoon Tip
There is a huge ring around the moon this evening. Does that explain wth is going on? Explain "what" ? A ring around the moon is because some of the light is being refracted by [usually] ice particles at high levels - typically a gossamer vale of cirrus level cloud. Ginx snewx
The tension in this thread - it wasn't really a weather question ;-) I know that was funny. Did you get snow last night?
