PhineasC
On a N/NNE wind? Not even close. I think if the low goes over or west of Boston they will have problems. I'm sure Beantown can snow with a wound up low to their west!

Well yeah, if the low inexplicably cuts through SNE, rain would be a problem
psuhoffman
On a N/NNE wind? Not even close. I just hope no one takes this as me rooting for a massive fail for new england, I never get into the whole regional battle thing. I would love a storm like Feb 83 where all the major cities get burried but this is not that type of storm. The track of this will be such that only one region can get snow while another either misses or gets rain. Of course in that situation I am rooting for my own region over the others but it has nothing to do with wishing them ill, just want to get the storm myself. Hopefully we all get something at some point this winter.
PhineasC
Well yeah, if the low inexplicably cuts through SNE, rain would be a problem It already goes right over BOS. I'm sure the west trend will stop right here!

aldie 22
It already goes right over BOS. I'm sure the west trend will stop right here! GFS does change Boston to rain after a good dump then a lot of rain and 33. So i would guess they could overcome that and snow heavily a ton. Ian
the euro does this from time to time where it has a storm in the d8-10 range then it disappears and eventually comes back similar toward the original idea.
