Tell Smurf I said hello! lol

He's a guy I met at bear camp up in Maine this past September. He lives in VT. Nice guy! Congrats on the snow.

hahah if I knew where he was I would ;). A solid upslope event ongoing here (I am between the Champlain Valley and the western slopes of the Greens).

Drove up to Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain today. The snow was beautiful. Most skiers I've ever seen at Sugar. Go to my blog to see all the photos. www.blueridgeimpressions.org

In the meantime, here are a couple that really took my breath away. It's already down to 34 degrees here. Looks like a cold night ahead.

Light to occasionally moderate snow and blowing snow at 15F in......

....Williston, VT, Unfortunately I have to come back to NC tomorrow.

I'm glad you have enjoyed your vacation

Had some 0.5" per hour snow rates here in Williston, VT. Total for the event was 1.8" as it had trouble sticking early on (rained last night). The moisture is unfortunately cutting off rapidly now.

 I bet the locals are enjoying watching the snow starved southerner play in a couple of inches of snow ;)

I'm sick of this pattern, when I look at the extended 15 day on Accuweather or the weather channel all i see is some cold and sunny. can't they ever show a possible sign of snow and cold? the extended is always cold or chilly and sunny. guess they're afraid to commit unless its a sure thing.

I have just about stopped looking at either of those sights. They have been way off the charts. Just look at last night. It took then to put out a WWA out for my area after i had an inch of snow and it was pouring the snow through the whole county. I get more daily weather info on this board than my local weather. It seems like cold and snow are bad word this year. Wait till the hammer drops!
