daddylonglegs
Still thinking 1 to 3 inches here... There will be some spot that cashes in, but me thinks it will be across Iowa or far north of here.

Sounds about right. Definitely a tough forecast there. Looks like the WAA will keep you guys a little too warm for some of the event the way it looks now. gosaints
Temp was up to 38 here this morning. Once the precip started however we have dropped to 34.5. Snow mixed with rain now.
daddylonglegs
Rain here...just picked up in the last hour. Sitting at 37F (warmed 1F in the last ob). Foggy. MKE was sitting at 45F. Too much warm air around. Models butchered totals this morning. I doubt anyone even sees 6 inches out of this.
gosaints
DLL its down to 34 here in rushford. Rain snow mix in the valley. All snow on the ridges.
Geos
This storm really picked the most NW projected path. For awhile it looked like La Crosse was going to be in the thick of it!
gosaints
It did side to the northwest, but currently it is already snowing east of areas where models depeicted in southest minnesota and southwest wisconsin. La crosse in the valley probably wont do well but the ridgetops very well could.
gosaints
It currently all snow 30 miles west of la crosse.
gosaints
The weather channels rain snow radar is not always the best, but you can really see the effect that the mississippi wiver valley is having right now.

I've driven around Baraboo, WI and those roads get quite treacherous in the snow, but the valley can have very little snow in the meantime. gosaints
Snowing pretty hard now. Temp at 32.5 and dew point at 30. About 3/4 of an inch in the grass starting to stick to roads.
gosaints
Huge flakes now. Now sign of mix. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple hours.
gosaints
Just the hrrr but if its right, I could score a coup here. I live right where it paints the highest totals in southeast minnesota.
daddylonglegs
Still all rain. When I left Menards about 15 minutes ago (onalaska) I noticed what looked more like wet flakes, but at home its still rain.

daddylonglegs
Wonder if I90 will become a skating rink? That stretch between Nodine and Rochester is nasty in bad wx... Still got rain...should switch soon.

daddylonglegs
Probably not much...maybe an inch tops, if that... The grass is just barely covered and the radar doesn't look to impressive. What did you end up with over there? Has anyone seen 6 inches?
gosaints
Maybe 2 inches or so. Might squeak out another inch or two. Probably 3 inches at least up on the ridge just drive up there. We had pretty heavy returns this afternoon which kept us in the snow.

What did you end up with over there? Has anyone seen 6 inches? There's a narrow axis from the Pueblo, CO area up to North-Central Iowa that has recieved 5-8" based on reports....With a small area in NE. Kansas/SW. Nebraska having recieved 8-12". daddylonglegs
She's coming down hard right now. Probably enough to actually shovel a path. Looks really pretty out there. I need to go for a run...probably break my wrist again.
hawkeye_wx
The surface low is just about right on top of me now. The NAM and Euro definitely had the right idea with the nw low track while the GFS was way too far southeast for quite a few runs(GFS teased Cedar Rapids with a couple inches of snow for a few runs).
