Getting reports from my viewers of light snow falling in Southern Jackson. One report is of 1/4 of slushy snow near Big Ridge which closer to the Great Balsam Range dividing Jackson and Haywood Counties.

Driving into work this morning it seemed rime ice occurred overnight above 4000' as the cold air came rushing behind the rain.

Rain :axe:

What??:gun_bandana::gun_bandana:

Here in Dahlonega the snow flakes have been VERY wet. Sometimes it becomes more rain and then more snow. My house is at 1,500 ft and the flakes are very wet. I drove up to 1,750ft and the flakes look more normal and there was a very light dusting on leaves and grassy areas.

Taken just a few minutes ago IMBY here in Dahlonega. Most of the time it is falling much lighter than this but flakes are flying.

Temp is 35.5 and the bucket has tipped twice for .02" of snow liquid equivalent.

Nice! I would love to see a few flakes today but glad someone is getting in early on the action.
