NYCSuburbs
At the same time that NYC breaks 70 degrees... I'm not complaining since we already had our first snow, but they're already seeing snow in late November while we have to wait an unknown amount of time until we get our next snowstorm potential. I've pretty much given up on December for any sustained wintry pattern, but unless we're in late December and things haven't changed, I see no reason to give up on Jan/Feb yet. ag3
18z gfs is same as before and as the euro. Warm through day 6-7, then a cold front and a possible low trying to ride up the front. It develops it this time but too late. After this, we get our few days of colder weather. Very similar to the 12z euro.

nycsnow
Endless summer to continue Don't sound bad as much as most of us love cold snow I don't think people would be as upset with 70 and sun as they think
NYCSuburbs
i was referring to the 180 hours flooding rains. That does look awful, but regardless of the heavy rain on this run, that time frame doesn't seem to offer much hope for snow other than maybe some flakes behind the modeled cold front. NYCSuburbs
I can't believe I'm saying this in November, but I actually wish I was in Mississippi right now: Tonight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after midnight. Low around 32. West wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible. MJO812
I will say this again. The ensembles have been colder than the op runs for several runs. Either the ensembles are on crack or the gfs has no clue.
