I feel bad for the people that missed out on the mega totals.......probably wont see that type of storm in another 20 years......

I don't think we will wait that long.... I mean, if you look back, we only have to go back to Feb 6, 2010 for a wdespread 2 feet in South Jersey. (ofc, it didn't hit us, but).

That's the thing...these storms have been so common the past 2-3 years that people are beginning to think its normal. It's not -- these are monumental storms.

FWIW, here's the latest 8-14 day CPC outlook - guess where's the only part of the US that sees above average temperatures...

I'm not sure if I'm buying this or not, the pattern is going to be turning colder but it's not going to be any serious cold like we saw last December. My guess at this time would be near to slightly below average temps.

Rain by definition isn't interesting, especially in November.

I'd much rather have snow, but at least there's something to track for the shorter range until the long range cold gets closer... the cold air coming for early December is looking interesting with the EPO finally flipping negative.

I knew it was over when it snowed in October. Plus squirrels have been rather lethargic collecting nuts. Couple this info with the fact that earthlight hasn't started growing his winter beard and we can pretty much stick a fork in this one.
