Logan11
Jonesville is just about down to where I-81 hits I-78.....so below all those hills. Yeah. Not sure were Jonesville is but once you get above Ravine, I81 is 1k or more feet in elevation. Depending on how well Penny-Doofus-Dot does clearing the roads, expecting at least a moderate impact event. With temps continuing to fall as the storm moves out, def would pack smart. PennMan
Jonesville is just about down to where I-81 hits I-78.....so below all those hills. Jonestown you mean? That is just a bit south of the 81/78 split, several miles NW of my location. I-81 north of there in Schuylkill County is nasty in even slightly bad weather...this evening it's going to be pretty ugly I'd imagine. Winter storm warning for that area, 6"+ in several hours of heavy snow. Maybe a dozen miles north of Jonestown I-81 hits 1000ft and then mostly runs 1500-1700ft, with a few spots near 1900ft until around Hazleton, PA. Logan11
Right Jonestown.... well I'd love that kind of wx. ..but maybe they will be through there before it gets bad. I googled it...where they go is actually the first exit on 81 (slightly above that split). They call in Jonestown, but I can see the actual village of Jonestown is slightly south of there.... canderson
Here's the 81 fiasco, this is going to be bad all day. Hazmat crews are cleaning up fuel spilled by two overturned tractor trailers on Interstate 81 north in Lebanon County this morning. The first truck overturned about 9:15 a.m. at mile marker 83 and the second overturned about 9:45 at mile marker 81, officials said. Traffic is moving slow and being diverted at Route 743 near the Hollywood Casino at Penn National. Drivers are urged to use caution. There are no reported injuries. Update: Crews said one tractor-trailer is carrying a huge drill that is too heavy for wreckers to move. They will try to drag the truck to the side of the road. The road will remain shut down for a while. http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/12/traffic_slow_on_i-81_north_in.html

No ****. Down into my stomping grounds. The exit is the Lickdale/Lebanon exit. When you get off you will be in Lickdale. Turn left and go to the third redlight (Wendys,Exon,Hess) and turn right. 3-4 miles down the road you will hit a red light with a Turkey Hill. Turn left will take you into Jonestown. Hopefully this trend continues, the faster it gets into the 30's, the happier i'll be. *tried to link to weather history graphs on wunderground, but it says that image extension is not allowed on this community
