Organizing Low
light snow imby still.....i can smell the rain that is the unfortunate part of riding the line literally it should switch back to snow in the next couple hours as the low passes by to our east....the SREFs did indeed speculate rain right about now, as did the RGEM, but the RGEM didnt have ANY real snow at all until 9-10PM. the storm is looking pretty ragged on radar, hopefully it can get its act together and get some decent backside snow in here. how much do you have? ayuud
pouring rain in lake george #fail same here 0.45" qpf so far, just imagine if that was snow...
ayuud
Here is a little entertainment for you. Of course by next week the 12-24 band might be pushed west of YYZ .. the way the trends are this year. LOL is this a joke LOL
lakeeffectkid383
same here 0.45" qpf so far, just imagine if that was snow... 0.39" of qpf here so far too, about 0.35" of that as PURE liquid. The 0.04" of precip fell as a rain snow mix. Radar to the west really seems to be drying out , in fact radar shows 20dbz over my house and its just misting lightly out. Temp is 34.4 degrees. Don't think we'll see much snow on the ground at all by morning. Maybe a dusting. I'm beyond frusterated with this pattern.

Logan11
I wonder if it has been snow in the higher terrain to the east such as Wyoming County or south toward Ellicottville, etc... same here 0.45" qpf so far, just imagine if that was snow... Ottawa Blizzard
Still all rain and 35 here in Cheektowaga. Moisture over S Ontario looks to be drying up. By the time we finally turn to snow we will be EXTREMELY lucky to see 2" total out of this. This pattern fricken sucks giant sweaty hairy elephant balls. This will be the year without a winter. Well somehow find a way to dodge every single storm. Well be lucky to see 5" fo the month of December and as of today we are 30" below average. I'm still going with Roger Smith on this one. February will be the winter month.

Doesn't look like too much is happening on the Holiday Valley webcams in Ellicottville, just a light snow (which is alot more then I can say here)... Someone on another site posted that there was whiteout conditions with several inches on the roads in Kane,PA and this was as of several hours ago...http://www.holidayvalley.com/HolidayValley/mtn-cams.aspx

lakeeffectkid383
33.8F now here in Cheektowaga... Big fat flakes finally coming down although I suspect its only because were under a heavier "burst" of precip that will be moving out of here shortly so we will probably turn back to rain soon. lakeeffectkid383
Radar looks pretty very unimpressive back across S Ontario. In fact the only impressive precip I see is over New England... http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?location=USNY8997&animate=true
West Point, NY
Interesting watching the greatest pressure fall over the past several hours. Went from off the NJ coast to NYC to W. CT and now over Albany. Pretty wacky evolution but explains the thunder around here.

West Point, NY
Our Canadian friends were worried that Montreal was too far east for snow. Quebec City will probably do the best when it's all said and done
Logan11
By 1:00 AM it is progged to be near Plattsburgh. It's really a disorganized mess over NY State trying to get it's act together. This pretty much explains why Western NY couldn't do well...too little too late. It needed to bomb further south. Maybe it's gonna bomb fast enough for Ottawa to have a good stretch tonight, but certainly from Tremblant up the Laurentians this will be an excellent snowmaker. On to the late week clipper? LOL Looks to me that all the substantial stuff is going to focus from NE NY/ MTL and east. Strong southerly jet over New England. Either way, our excitement is coming to an end shortly. Logan11
Yep that heavier rain is all past me now. Still 35. The one saving grace is this is not enough of a thaw to defrost the ground and create another mud hell. Should be freezing again by morning.
