yeah...in OT, though. That stuff isn't really supposed to be on the weather side...even in a banter thread.

100% agree.

Kev's a good guy we all have our moments and overall I think we've all done a better job so far this year keeping it in check. We're ALL getting frustrated by the slow evolution of this pattern. It would be one thing to endure a multi month torch if we had something concrete that we could say "ahhh" the pattern is going to snap in mid December. We're still left with mixed signals as Tip just noted over on the other thread.

This is what sucks when it starts snowing in October. Leaves a huge lull.

Impressive temps everywhere but here in the Plymouth NH area except if you are lucky enough to live in highly elevated areas. Have been doing errands and the car thermometer has been between 39-42F. Dark, cloudy and areas of snow fog. Snow cover is holding at the low elevations. Climb 700 feet from the surrounding countryside like at my house and its 52F with no snow cover. Can't seem to scower (is that spelled right?) out the cold low level air. I should drive up higher than my 1100 feet and I bet it is even warmer!

It looks like BOS maxed out at 67 today . Well short of the record of 74 in 1990....a dead ratter winter. Yesterdays record was from 1896 at 72.....followed by a normal snow winter.

Brett Anderson of accuweather says the Euro shows the torch continuing through mid December at least.

It doesn't show that. Maybe he's referring to lSt nights which was warmer. Today's up run was frigid for late next week

Edit...that's last Thursday's weekies..

Had a high of 58.1F here in Rindge, NH today around 1200', total torch. Temperature shouldn't drop below 40F tonight with overcast skies and SW winds. It's hard to believe the average lows are around 20F here in the Monadnocks, just ridiculous how warm falls have become in recent years. November is the fastest warming month of the year for many stations in the East.

I'm down here in the Mid Hudson Valley tending to a small house we still own down here. 59 there when I left an hour ago. Ovc alll day, but looked like I could see the edge of the low clouds down south.

I checked the forsythia bushes and no confused blooming. :)

This slightly above normal cool shot keeps moderating later this week and weekend, okx now has no nights at or below freezing the next 7 days here, and even when it cools down its still above normal.
