weathafella
Some pretty lousy winters right up there too. Hopefully we can flipt the script in later December. The whole pattern change thing has been beaten to a pulp. We'll just have to let the cards fall as they may. Yeah number 2 has some severe stinkers tied with this year. If it weren't for the squirrels, I'd have kept my original forecast and would have been trolling for the past month...lol.

doug1991
The next 3 days may bring this November to the warmest ever at BOS. The good news is the current warmest ever is an analog used by some for this year. 1975-76 had some great cold and snow in December, January and again in March. one can only hope. This totally blows. on the road a 6:30 and it was 50 out. Disgusting weather. This pattern is rivaling 06-07 in terms of warmth.
S&P
I had to pay it because I read a sign wrong The tolls $4 each way. I had no cash on me so I had to pay a $2 fee. This was on my mom's island Not anybodys fault but mine thanks for contributing to the upkeep of our roads and bridges. JK. BTW, you can get an EZ pass anytime in the office by the bridge - well worth it as it works on most tolls throughout the northeast

Pete's probably skiing the snowbanks in the parking lot at MRG right now. I shot this today at Blue Hill. You just have to get back into the glades for the good stuff. weathafella
No matter what happens, even if the winter is mild, it will snow and it will get cold at times. I am off today so I went to the woods with the dog. Felt like spring but the landscape is stark and ready for it's white mantle.

It says so in the book! For every 1969, there is a 1979... Hope the walk was good. My pooch can't go to far anymore.

ORH_wxman
He did last winter and 2008-09. I'm not sure if his pre-season prediction in '07-'08 was warm, but he did mention in Dec that it was going to get warm with his famous "clipper flipper" poetry. I seem to vaguely remember him predicting a warm winter in '08-'09 back in the fall, but I cannot confirm it. So many people went torch January that year and that's when we got the big arctic blast in January '09 that pretty much made the month a total bust for many. MJO induced.
