Damage In Tolland
Dude, it's warm everywhere. Right..but the blooms have happened near the coast where it's been milder overall due to the warm SST's. You don't see Will or anyone else inland posting about dandilions, roses, azaela, forsythias, trees leafing out and blooming

And it has nothing to do with SSTs. If Bob is having it, you probably are too. Just because he is 55 and you are 50, doesn't mean a few blooms can't happen. I've even seen it at work. CoastalWx
Bob's area is not interior SNE..He is on the cp.Totally diff climate He's had night much colder than you. It hasn't been any different other than snowfall so far from a freak late Oct storm. I suppose you could argue the freeze after the snow maybe froze your buds, but I've seen stuff growing at work where it's defintely been cold at night and with snow. The whole argument is dumb. It's been warm..who cares what is and isn't growing. That will end next week.

I haven't seen much in ORH for any blooming since that storm. Maybe some of the lower spots have it, but haven't noticed. But yeah, its still been a massive torch since that storm...there is zero way to spin that....very warm November. Looks like we could get at least have a few chances in the Dec 6-12 time frame...maybe before that if we are lucky.

OKpowdah
Amazing how the view outside can influence perspective. Everything is covered in a good 3-4" of snow in Plymouth, and I am feeling all positive about the next few weeks
CT Rain
lol look at the difference between the 12z GFS and 18z GFS op runs by 12/5. Just shows you how the upcoming pattern has potential but can easily turn ugly as the 18z GFS shows.

Ginx snewx
Actually, snow acts as an insulator.... Wonder why some areas with similar temps this fall have people tending gardens, trimming flowers while others have none? Interesting botany right there. Hopefully LL and Mess mow right through next spring.

Ginx snewx
Lawns are green. That part is true. Winter pattern about to take hold Had a great discussion with old college Prof who is spearheading new Lyme Disease research, says the lack of frost in the ground extends tick season. I told him probably not until Mid Dec. until we freeze solid for a couple of days winter will have trouble getting a firm grip. Seems we did this last year with the freeze thaw cycle until we had the hard permafrost set up before Christmas. Hopefully we get an Arctic Front with 516 heights soon.
