ORH_wxman
It didn't fail here...we hit 60! I'm not sure how Pete, Mike, etc. stayed so cool. Back down to a nippy 52 now. There was a bit of a back door front today east of the Berks crest.

God's country man. In all seriousness, they are less torch prone than you, being on the east slopes.
Ginx snewx
One more week of above avg regime and then we might get to have some fun..at least for a little while hopefully. Hope so, back to average Thursday at least. Could see squalls for the weekend. It's a start. Week 3 can improve, hope so. Great game Pats and Eagles. ski MRG
I have some lilies and dasies growing. I'm sorry, so sorry. There will be nothing stirring here for months and months. Frequent temps in the lower 20's and many days with snow cover already have put an end to that nonsense. You guys need to make tracks to cold street. White Halloween, White Thanksgiving soon a white x-mas.

Great game Pats and Eagles. Theres some risk of a lakes cutter around Dec 5 after the initial cooldown....we'll see how it plays out. After that though it looks like we could get into a decent pattern. The lakes cutter isn't a lock though...perhaps it slides south if we avoid big phasing. I like the surface ridging shown sticking up into New England on the ensembles. It might not be arctic air, but could signify an overrunning deal, esp interior. Mr Torchey
After all the hand wringing, speculation and debate, its still only 11/27, winter finally begins Thursday. I think its becoming pretty clear there will be a gradient this winter with the robust se ridge and trough axis perhaps a little further west, could be a winter where some are buried and some are left out. Logan11
Maybe if it comes out in pieces along a slowly sagging boundary. If it comes out phased we're doomed to a lakes cutter. Well yeah if the se ridging is strong, than it may not matter....but it doesn't look like a cutter type pattern at this point. That storm near the 5-6 looks mild, but it's pretty far out.
