I would take that over the weather we have had this weekend this time of year in a heratbeat.. And interior spots have snow/ice threats next week-10 days

Agree with you there--hard to get in tot he x-mas thing with 60 degrees every day.

Boston will finish Nov 2nd warmest in 139 yrs of record keeping and Portland Maine 1st warmest...wow.

Wonder if Powdah freak figured out his snowmaking plan for mountainous interior VT by reading the LR thread with posts from all SNers mets. LOL. Starting to see where this is all heading. S2K revisited, even have a mod who Checks on us everyday with a driveby, be nice up here boys we got ur eyes on you. Blah oh well it was fun while it lasted. Will, Scott and Phil should start there own thread, nobody else contributes then the serious bidness folks will be happy. I was enjoying reading that thread this morning, flowed with our usual character asides but then hammer time. I know it seems like I am b itchi n and moaning but I am not really just not likin the direction we are heading.

Chilly day today .Temp still at 43 with low clouds...Backdoor FTW

The final 2 mild days of the pattern Mon/Tues and it's thankfully over

Has already torched up to 57F here. No backdoor front here.

Low of 28F. Thick, thick fog this morning burned off about 90 minutes ago.

Turning out to be a gorgeous day.

I get his point even though it is overexxagerated

We have the least moderation of any subforum on this site. That goes for warnings and moderation of posts. Over-exaggeration is an understatement. I swear we deal with the same battle between staff and posters every Nov/Dec.

I did and it was my first moderation in about a week. We don't need another complaining thread. If someone wants to start a thread discussing the pattern going into early/mid December since the other one is over 1k feel free.

Yeah, it is time for a new thread for general pattern discussion. Maybe we'll have some specific threats in a week to monitor as well.

Mornin Brian and that was not a complaining thread, lucky for you I saved it

Just to let the others know I started a thread for SNE like NNE has for LR SR banter etc like it used to be, you know a super thread. no complaining at all.

You moderated that, which broke what rule?

The NNE threads ARE banter/ob threads and they get about 10 posts per day if we're lucky. There's almost no banter in them anyways. When we had snow events we made new threads for them. The LR threads are for everyone...SNE and NNE although they usually take on a SNE focus since that's where most of the posts originate from. And I reread your thread...it was 90% intended complaint with a little 10% weather thrown in to hide that fact.

Oh no......lol, I just mean I don't think we need various threads like Steve is pointing out...just for banter. This one is just fine.

I haven't been on much since the SWFE, but I support all of the mods here. I know more than anyone that part of what makes this site a hit is the entertainment intertwined with the science. The posts with snow goggles on or about never ending summer get a little annoying, but that's all that really bothers me. If a mod wants to take the time to do a little housecleaning and move some posts into more appropriate threads then I'm fine with that. I haven't looked at all of the moderation over the last few days, but I'd assume most of it was moving posts and there was no deletion of actual weather posts.

Anyways...people are getting antsy waiting for the cold and snow chances. I think John was overthinking the vibe here a bit , but in general the favorite weather for most here is snow and cold...especially this time of year. There's probably only a few members that have the snow/cold goggles on 24/7 even in a torch pattern, but they are the minority. Overall the discussion has been solid here from all of the mets and spot on wrt the warmth lingering into December. There's really been no surprises so far.

It's the geographical region that supports this. I love a severe tstm as much as anyone, but lets face it...they can be very hard to come by around these parts. At least as far as winter wx goes, that is something where we can excel in.

Hopefully this summer I'll be up at the Lake enough to witness some good storms. They always seem to get nailed.

This weather is incredible, absolutely beautiful if its not going to snow this is how it should be, I cant believe we are going to bbq and eat/party on the deck this afternoon, no reason to put the outside furniture away yet, and nothing in the next 3 weeks suggests so either.

12zgfs is a dream run.
