dryslot
Well it's pretty ridiculous outside. In my travelings I saw people sitting outdoors drinking wine and roses in bloom. Never saw that in my life, this time of year. my honeysuckle and forsythia are in bloom, and my potentilla shrubs are in full leafout...def not your average end of fell pattern All bad indicators of how fall has been....... dryslot
Can we make a movie about a bunch of weather weenies that get into a massive brawl during a warm sunny day, until the pivotal point when one of us says "look, a snow flake" and we all stop fighting to watch the one little snowflake fall to the ground, and then the winds pick up, filled with beautiful dendrites. We help each other up and run to our laptops to track the blizzard. The end. I think i read the book, It was Dr Seuss...

Damage In Tolland
Man, put a match to that thing. There are still so many yards with tons of debris and along the sides of rds..Just everywhere. They'll never get it cleaned up before the snow flies next week. They had bulldozers just moving that massive pile..and there were trucks just lined up with people dropping huge piles of brush/downed limbs/trees off

Clinch Leatherwood
They are paying a company $500,000 to chip it and turn it into mulch LOL, the towns around here have sections in their landfill where there are piles that high. They then convert it to mulch for free which anyone can use.

Burning with flames 80-100 feet high. hmm that might offset the magical Tolland Thermometer though

I had a great live recording of them from 1973 - Paul's Mall in Boston i believe, sounded like a different band back then. Heavy, heavy blues. moneypitmike
I was down in S RI today on the water walking around in a t shirt. Felt like September The high of 57.2 really sucked. But as has been noted, the change is right around the corner. Meanwhile, I will repost this picture of earlier today as it's the only snow we've got--until next weekend I hope. My 6-year old shed the fleece she was wearing on this walk and insisted on a t-shirt. 48.9/

My 6-year old shed the fleece she was wearing on this walk and insisted on a t-shirt. 48.9/38 Psyched that it has survived the last few days. Evidence of a lower sun angle and shorter days I guess. We still saw snow on top of Wachusett this morning (natural, not man made) and in some shady areas. 41.6F here after a high of 57.6F Must have been 60-63 down in Jamestown/Newport... monadnocks
Here on the north side of hill at 800 feet, we've still got a relatively thin coating of snow over the whole yard. -monadnocks
ski MRG
It was meant as a joke. It makes no difference whatsoever to me since we have a banter thread. Wait until WxTrix hears about this one.
