MaineJayhawk
Hope you guys had a good day Actually, Ray, it sucked. I was supposed to have dinner with the ex's family. However, she became illogically irate with me earlier in the week so I decided going there was in nobody's interest. Turns out she didn't go either and kept herself and the kids at home. I didn't have any Thanksgiving dinner fixin's at home so I ended up making sloppy joes and baked beans. Perhaps a new tradition? I dunno, but at least there was a beautiful cobalt sky with 8" of snow caking the trees this morning. And that's more important than that witch of an ex of mine. Anyway, hope yours was better. nzucker
Sorry Eric. At least you didn;t have to wash any dishes. Any you have snow!!! I washed a lot of dishes to close out the boarding school kitchen tonight; kitchen staff had gone home after making the huge Thanksgiving dinner, so I did the honors. Exhausted now and have to teach tomorrow. 28F with starry skies here, great night. Was a pretty day with temperatures hovering in the low-mid 30s and about 1" of crusty snow on the ground. Ski resorts are going to start running into problems with above freezing nights; we're at 1200' and have projected lows of 39F, 41F, and 40F Saturday-Monday nights. HIPPYVALLEY
30/29 clear, crisp night. MPM beats me in the snow department but my elevated valley locale generally wins w/ the cold. ; ) Drove to Chelmsford to have T-Day at my sisters, nice time, family got to coo over lil' Ben and we got to relax for a little while as they played pass the baby. I'm amazed at the volume of cars as you get closer to that 495 belt. I'm not sure I could ever go back to the Eastern part of the state. lol. Logan11
That's why I like x country skiing and snowshoeing...it's free And in the summer kayaking is free. I really only care about the hill that is 15 minutes away and costs me nothing... Can't really see heading to Jay, Killington, Stowe, etc for a while. Too much of a drive, too much for a ticket

CapturedNature
Man it sucks working after Thanksgiving. At least it's OT. I had the option and chose to work...mostly because I'd rather use the day for some other time of the year but also because Springfield has a Big Balloon parade that goes right outside my office. My wife and son are coming in with me so it's kind of like a half work day. Cooled off nicely last night. It's currently 24.8....nice surprise because the forecasted low was in the low 30s. Maybe we can drop another degree or two?

Ginx snewx
By the end of the day 31 people had been to the house, men folk all wanted the Pack to win and the Boys to lose. When the Boys were handed the V the consensus was they win the division now. Sis in law made a chocalate peanut butter pie, holy cripes that was good stuff. Fire pit and libations until 11ish. It was a lot colder last night than I thought it would be, heavy heavy ice scrapping this morning.

weathafella
2nd time in the past 5 years I'm working the day after Thanksgiving. I promised myself at age 50 I'd not do it again but I'm taking Monday off and want to save leave time. Hopefully December begins at least normal wx and some decent chances. It looks like we may be set up for some.
