WeatherRusty
We have extremely limited weather data from the past. Of course there's going to be a new precedents with technology all over the place these days. I'm not saying global warming doesn't exist. Just new weather monitoring stations. No one is claiming any of the weather events being referred to have not happened in the past. Of course they have, natural variation allows for a wide range of events and intensities which will manifest when conditions are conducive. Ideal conditions for stronger storms will be present more frequently in a warmer world simply because there will be more energy to dissipate. So there is a theoretical expectation for more intense weather events to develop with greater frequency. This should be especially so during the period when the climate is in transition from one state to another warmer state. Add heat to the bottom of a pot of water and what happens to the circulation of the water in the pot?
