Now she cuts off and waits for the more powerful polar jet to phase Tue 11/29 and Michigan under the gun (especially Western with added Lk effect). I guess its as good of solution as any. Thoughts? Sure gon' crazy! For those asking about when is winter beginning???

Definitely an amazing and bass akwards set-up that is going to be going down next week. Don't take any one solution yet though the ensembles are all over the place with this one still. Some even holding the southern s/w back in Baja.

12z GFS at 144 hours has 850 mb temps of 11C in eastern IN and -4C in Mobile, AL.

18z ups the ante with in and -4C in Alexandria, LA and 11C up into Northern Minnesota.

Still I'm always skeptical the Lower GL sees much out of this till its 24 hours out...I haven't seen a significant November snow since 2002 here and how many times have we seen the storms progress north and west on the models and give Wisconsin and Northern Michigan a solid storm

That is probably favored simply due to climo but we will be pretty close to December and this scenario looks anything but normal so we shall see.

Ensembles are more important than ever with these complex type of setups. This far out the operational runs probably hold even less water than normal lol.

new Euro at 108hr is more positively tilted with the trof and the trof axis is alittle further west, weak sfc low in northern MI up into Canada.

00z Euro is different than the 12z run for sure. Much less impressive with the cutoff at 144 hours.
