Very impressive couplet in Sumter/Marengo county in Alabama (SW of Demopolis)! It's really intensified over the last few mins... Looks to be active for a little while across West Alabama :(

Looks like just a meso to me. Broad and lowest tilt beam height is 7000ft. Wow on the earlier cells though.

There was a tornado with damage in Demopolis from that storm. ABC 3340 was showing roofs off a hotel and some homes. Supposedly that tornado in MS last night, near Bunker Hill, was 1/4 mile wide, per ABC 3340.

New tornado watch out for AL, GA, TN. Mods can we change the title to reflect the event dates? Being there's been damage and injuries reported already.

what thread are they discussing it in? I see an obs thread... that one?

I looked over there and saw no title for this severe weather event....and it turns out it was buried 35 pages deep in a november discussion thread also discussing IMBY post such as "i see lightning"

The east coasters in the past have always been focused on snow and most don't really care for severe weather(interested in snow) that is why in the past here and at eastern outbreaks in AL/MS/TN etc have been discussed in the central/western forum too. Most of the hard core severe folks(the ones that follow outbreaks no matter where is it) post there anyway.

Now with the LOV spin off there may be three regions covered by the same event and no single "hard core only" severe weather thread.
