Between the frozen ground, and the packed down snow from the morning, there are rivers of water all over the place, with ice underneath.
MaineJayhawk
Just got back from an Xmas party. Rain of the 35dBZ variety driven by winds gusting to 30mph. Pretty schitty outside. 1.06" of rain has fallen. Looks like a band of heavy rain in E MA and RI will strafe us also. Gonna be some big totals with this event. moneypitmike
All I can see from a wind standpoint here, is "whoopydidoo". Top gust of 23. That's about 9 mph over my normal daily high gust. Big time snoozer. Enjoy the good stuff out on the Cape!

ski MRG
48/48, rn+, closing in on 2 inches. Our stream is absolutely thunderous right now. I usually don't give it a second thought as it takes a lot of rain to be threatening but everything is just running right off the solidly frozen ground. Fortunately we'll be back below freezing in about 18hrs with some snow in the air. Fun watching the snow game in Chicago. It's too bad for the Pats they have to play in Buffalo in a few weeks otherwise they might run the table.
