moneypitmike
Snow is starting to increase in intensity a little here. Looks like we're close to an inch I didn't realize een was snowing. Congrats. Wish the ice would melt in the bucket so I can start tracking rainfall. Sad as that is, it's the only rain we've got.

powderfreak
Moderate to heavy snow now. Visibility has come way down. Changeover may be close cause these flakes are huge aggregates right now, but piling up quickly. 31F Time to head up the road to do some skiing before the rain hits. moneypitmike
Well, pulled out the slush from the bucket. Guess I'll be without part of today's rainfall in my measurement. But, I guess had I left the snow in it would have corrupted the reading the other way. So-----recorded in the bucket: .03", top gust 14mph. 35.3/

moneypitmike
How many times do we have to go thru this with you and the model qpf? Lol. My qpf comment is about the total rainfall. It has nothing to do with the back end snow. It looks like all the dynmacs have shifted away before temps can support it. I'm not saying that's what going to happen; I'm saying that what the gfs shows (and that's why I said in my comment that "the gfs........tells Kevin". I'm hoping it's wrong. In the midst of the fluries later on in the run, at least it will be a little cool.

cpickett79
OT from the OT files areas bout 50 miles west and NW of dc over to PA west of 87 still have 32-33 degree temps .....seemed to have held the cold pretty well . not sure if that was forecast. but the colder 850's sliding into that area of west central virginia now. so maybe no real warmup there at all.
